Kilsyth Football Club has been an important part of the local community for 100 years. It was established in 1924 as a member of the Ferntree Gully-Croydon league. Later, in 1962, it became a foundation affiliate of what is now called the Eastern Football League (EFL), which is widely regarded as the most professionally run metropolitan league in Australia.

The club’s nickname is The Cougars, Cougs or Killy and its home is the sporting hub of the outer east, Pinks Reserve. Team colours are black with a red sash.

Kilsyth Football Club is a vibrant, family orientated club which caters for all age groups. During the season, it hosts the Kilsyth Auskick clinic for primary aged children.  We have a strong junior club fielding teams from Under 8 to under 18s.  Our senior club currently has 4 teams, mens under 19.5s, reserves and seniors, as well as the 2023 EFL Senior Womens premiers!  

This represents a total playing strength of some 300 men, girls and boys. Add in their families, many supporters and members and all in all it’s quite a big operation.

In the course of it’s long history, Kilsyth teams and players have won many awards and achieved many successes.

As a sporting club that is well grounded in its community, Kilsyth is proud to host the EFL U9 & U10 Lightening Premiership each year and to stage EFL junior finals.

Kilsyth Football Club is open to all who want to experience the many rewards that come with being part of grassroots Australian Football.
